How to Install Redis on Ubuntu 26.04

To install Redis on Ubuntu 26.04, follow these steps.

Step 1 : Update.

sudo apt update

Step 2 : Install Redis.

sudo apt install redis-server

Step 3 : Enable and start.

sudo systemctl enable --now redis-server
sudo systemctl status redis-server

Step 4 : Test.

redis-cli ping
redis-cli SET hello world
redis-cli GET hello

Default bind is localhost. Do not open 6379 on the public firewall.
